Sharon Presbyterian Church was established in 1831 around the same time as the community we now call SouthPark. Sharon Presbyterian became the center of this neighborhood early on, and whatever you needed, you came here for it – whether it was a flu shot or to gather with friends. Sharon Presbyterian is still an integral part of this community, and we carry on that heritage by providing a wide range of support to SouthPark and beyond.
Sharon Presbyterian Church is a diverse group of people who seek to follow Jesus Christ. We are authentic, but not perfect. We strive to be good neighbors and witness to God's love in all that we do and say. With historic roots in the SouthPark community, we boldly look to a future seeking to live into God's call to do justice, love, kindness, and walk humbly with God.
We are a congregation within the Presbyterian Church (USA), the largest mainline, Presbyterian Denomination. As a connectional church of the PC(USA) we are rooted in Reformed theology and history, embrace a particular way of organizing and governing ourselves, and extend the reach of our ministry through connecting with local and global congregations.
Our congregation is made up of over 800 members of all ages and family types, and our campus is a busy one, with activities almost daily for children, teens, busy adults, empty nesters, and people in every stage of life. We are a vibrant community where you can connect with real life, from music, fitness, health and wellness, education, and spiritual exploration - all while forming friendships that feel like a second family. If you are looking for a place to belong, we’d love to welcome you at Sharon Presbyterian Church.
Invite all who seek welcome, spiritual nurture, community, & acceptance.
Teach through worship, study, and example. Teach what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ.
Serve our neighbors by offering hospitality and compassion to all. Serve through community partnerships, and addressing poverty, hunger, and homelessness.
